After 25 years in senior Banking & Finance roles, in 2013 I founded our boutique management consultancy ideas2outcomes working with business owners and senior leaders (from start-ups to large corporates) to encourage better creativity and innovation, challenge the status quo and deliver successful and sustainable results through people. planning and process excellence.
I am delighted to be engaged now also as an Executive Advisor, Investor, Founder and Director in various tech start-up companies focused on digital marketplaces, payments, big data & analytics. This has been quite a change from senior executive corporate life but equally rewarding in seeing these business grow and scale from just an initial idea with a sharp focus on customer value and experience.
I have had a fantastic time through my diverse banking career across Asia Pacific including senior sales, strategy & transformation leadership roles across Retail, Commercial and Institutional Banking and through a number of challenging economic cycles. A combination of inspiring leadership, clear vision and values and disciplined execution saw many great performance and productivity goals achieved.
My previous Chief Operating Officer roles in Regional Banking and Corporate Transactional Banking also provided me the opportunity to truly appreciate all the critical components (people, processes and systems that need to work together for successful business outcomes.
Drawing on my passion and earlier years as a professional musician has taught me great skills in thinking creatively as well as the disciplined approach that music inspires and requires and applying those also to a business strategy and execution context.
Rapidly evolving digital & data technologies also calls for scalable agile frameworks for accelerated development of solutions in larger enterprises. That is going to mean new ways of thinking and working also in an evolving intersection of human and artificial intelligence.

Kathy Townley is a Management Consultant delivering valuable support and guidance specialising in the Not-for-Profit sector. Kathy has held board positions across the Early Years sector and been an advisor and preferred consultant with Early Learning Association Australia for over 20 years.
She has been instrumental in delivering many successful projects in the Early Years sector and provided Management support in different sectors including local government and retail with a focus on driving positive change. From these engagements, Kathy has refined key skills in influencing and negotiation, which complement her established qualifications and experience in human resources, governance, leadership and people and performance management systems and structures.
Prior to her commencement as a consultant Kathy previously managed various departments and large teams in the financial services industry. She has gained valuable knowledge and expertise in achieving successful outcomes through good planning, developing capable and committed people, and implementing effective policies and practical processes that work.
Kathy holds formal qualifications with a Bachelor of Education and Master of Business Administration.
